Sungchan and Shotaro leave NCT for SM Entertainment's new group!

Sungchan and Shotaro left NCT, according to SM Entertainment. 

NCT U's "infinite expansion" initiative has produced NCT 127, NCT Dream, NCT U's rotating lineup, NCT 2018, and NCT 2021. One more group will conclude the expansion.

We want to thank all NCT fans first and foremost

SUNGCHAN and SHOTARO are outstanding NCT members.

They'll leave NCT, however. Fand joining a 2023 boy band.

We apologize and thank the fans who have been waiting for them to debut as a new NCT group.

We made a conclusion that best reflects the artists' opinions and each group's aesthetic and musical approach after thorough deliberation and debate with SUNGCHAN and SHOTARO in preparation for SM 3.0.

Please support SUNGCHAN and SHOTARO in their next phase.

We want to introduce NCT's last group with a unique viewpoint that actually represents a regional identity.

We'll increase Japanese membership accordingly.

We will support NCT, SUNGCHAN, and SHOTARO. We invite fans again to support their future undertakings.
