Reporter 'quickly fired' for 'inappropriate comment' caught on hot mic 

After allegedly making an insulting remark that was recorded on his microphone,  

an American journalist was 'immediately dismissed'.Since its debut in 2007,  

Eyewitness News This Morning has been co-hosted by anchor Ken Rosato,  

also received an Emmy Award for his coverage of a steam pipe explosion in New York City. 

But now that he's been fired from his job, it's because he allegedly said something inappropriate. 

He reportedly said the statement while off-air, but it was heard "on an open mic" and caused him to be "immediately let go.

Rosato's comment and the precise time it was made are unknown.According to Page Six,  

a different source would only confirm that he was "fired for cause immediately."
