$712M Franchise Paramount Reviving Dwayne Johnson's Dead Without Him, Bringing Back Marvel Star as Lead in New Series

Following the cancellation of the Lady Jaye series and the commercial failure of the spin-off Snake Eyes:

G.I. Joe Origins, the G.I. Joe franchise is currently working on the production of a new film.

According to the producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Paramount is considering transforming the project from a television series into a feature-length motion picture.

In 2021, Paramount made the announcement that they are developing a series called Lady Jaye that would be distributed by Amazon.

It was planned to be a standalone story centered on the character Lady Jaye (who was portrayed by Adrianne Palicki in the film G.I. Joe: Retaliation),

but it was also supposed to be connected to the franchise's overarching universe. Despite our best efforts, the concept was never implemented beyond the pilot episode.

The pilot for the program has been discarded, but it is currently being used to build the framework for the future third installment,

even if di Bonaventura claims that it may take some time. The year 2013 saw the release of the film G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which starred Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
