Longtime NFL Quarterback Matt Ryan Landed New Job on Monday

In 2023, Matt Ryan will be calling games for CBS, despite not announcing his retirement this coming Monday.

This morning, Ryan, 37, announced on Twitter that he will be working with CBS Sports as an NFL commentator in the upcoming season. He also seemed to keep the possibility of a comeback in football on the table.

Thrilled to be a part of the @NFLonCBS family! This season, I'm looking forward to breaking down the game," Ryan said. P.S. : This is not a post for retirees.

After just one season with the franchise, the Colts released Ryan in March. He was benched twice throughout his 2022 season, so his stay in Indy most definitely didn't go as planned.

Although it's unclear at this time whether NFL teams have expressed genuine interest in Ryan for a backup or interim starter position, the comment at the end of his Monday declaration seems to support the notion that he's open to returning in the proper circumstance.

This season, Ryan will make his television debut with CBS, and we're eager to watch it.
