Celtics’ Jayson Tatum on brink of breaking insane LeBron James NBA Playoffs record

The Boston Celtics, led by Jayson Tatum, are one of only four teams in NBA playoff history to force a Game 7 after falling behind 3-0.

All of this success came down to Derrick White's tip-in after Marcus Smart's shot went wide. But beating the Miami Heat in Game 6 is not the only important thing that happened.

Tatum needs one more great game to beat LeBron James' record for most wins in a single playoff season.

ESPN Stats and Information says that Jayson Tatum had his seventh 30-point, 10-rebound, and 5-assist game in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

This tied the record that James set with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018.

Jayson Tatum scored the most points for the Celtics in Game 6. Even though he shot badly from the field, he scored 31 points.

Only eight of his 22 shots went in. Tatum made up for it, though, by making all 15 of his shots from the free throw line.

Tatum wasn't very good from outside the circle, but he helped by hitting the boards. During his double-double, he grabbed a total of 12 boards.
