Boerne Council appoints new City Attorney!

After a Tuesday night executive session, Boerne City Council members unanimously approved appointing Barbara Quirk as city attorney.

Currently a government attorney with Shahan Guevara Decker Arrott Attorneys At Law in Cedar Park, Quirk will assume the position full-time on Jan. 2. Until then, Mick McKamie will continue to serve as interim attorney.

Quirk’s practice areas include administrative and public law, alternative dispute resolution, business, government/administrative, labor-employment, litigation: commercial, public utility, appellate: civil, according to the State Bar of Texas. She attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence/Juris Doctor (J.D.) in May 1991. She was issued her Texas License on Nov. 1, 1991.
